The parish was part of Worcestershire until 1896, when it was transferred to Warwickshire, into which county it penetrated, between Morton Bagot and Ullenhall, as a narrow strip some 3 miles long by about ½ mile wide. Population details at the 2011 Census are still maintained under Redditch. The land slopes from 513 ft at Oldberrow Hill in the north-west to about 275 ft in the south-east. There is no village, but the church, rectory, and the Court lie at the crossing of four small roads. It is now part of the parish of Morton Bagot, Oldberrow and Spernall which in 2001 had a population of 153.

Einar Snorrason Olduhryggjarskald
Einar Snorrason, called Einar Olduhryggjarskald, was a 16th-century Icelandic priest and poet whose family played a significant role in the Icelandic Reformation. Although definitive records do not exist, Einar is believed to be the son of a farmer, Snorra Sveinssonar, and born in Miklaholtshrepur in northwest Iceland. It is recorded that in 1497 Einar was ordained as a priest and settled at Stad a Olduhrygg. He became a well known enough poet for Jon Arason to refer to him the best poet in the west of Iceland, however none of his work remains. Einars companion was Gudrun Oddsdottir, the niece of Sveinn spaki Petursson, the Bishop of Skalholt. Their sons were Petur and Brandur Einarsson, known as Gleraugna-Petur and Moldar-Brandur respectively; both became sheriffs. He also had at least two children with Ingiridi Jonsdottur, a sister of Bishop Stefan Jonsson. Their son, Marteinn Einarsson, became the second Lutheran bishop of Iceland, whilte their daughter, Gudrun, married wealthy landowner Dadi Gudmundsson. Einars sons and son-in-law all clashed with Catholic Bishop Jon Arason during the Icelandic Reformation, culminating with Dadi capturing Jon and his sons at the Battle of Saudafell.

A babygrow, babygro, sleepsuit or sleep suit in British English is a one-piece item of baby clothing with long sleeves and legs used for sleep and everyday wear. They are typically made from cotton and closed with snaps, although they may also be made from fleece or closed with zips. The feet are often enclosed, but they may be footless. They are distinguished from bodysuits by the fact that they have legs and long sleeves. This terminology is common in the United Kingdom, where the trademark is not registered. In the United States, where the trademark is registered, the name is uncommon as other manufacturers of the item use different terms.
